WHY NOW?
Every version of us disappears. Even the good ones. Especially the ordinary ones.
Who are you right now?
The Right Now Session
Not who you used to be. Not who you're trying to become. The woman you are today. Do you have a photograph of her?
A DIFFERENT WAY OF SEEING YOURSELF
There she is.
I think we spend way too much time picking ourselves apart. Our hair, our weight, our smiles, our wrinkles. We look at a photograph of ourselves and immediately find the one thing we don't like. But that's not necessarily what somebody else sees when they look at us.
And that's something I think about all the time when I'm photographing people. I'm watching their expressions, how they react, how they talk, how they laugh. I'm getting to know them. And sometimes there's this moment when they stop worrying about the camera and I see their personality come through. And I think, there she is. That's what I want to photograph.
WHAT THIS SESSION IS REALLY ABOUT
You don't have to wait until you feel ready.
I want you to see what I'm seeing. Maybe it's a smile you've never liked, but I think it's fantastic. Maybe it's an expression you didn't even realize you make. Maybe it's just a photograph where you look at yourself and think, okay, I actually like that one.
Because you don't have to change everything about yourself to appreciate something about yourself. And you don't have to wait until you look a certain way to have photographs worth keeping.
This version of you matters, too. That's why I photograph people the way I do.
ONE WOMAN. MORE THAN ONE SIDE.
You're allowed to be all of them.
Quiet one minute. Laughing the next. Dressed up, dressed down, serious, silly, or somewhere in between. None of those versions cancels out the others. They're all part of you.
Are you ready right now?
Why not find out?
You don't have to know exactly what you want or feel completely comfortable in front of a camera. That's something we can figure out together. Tell me a little about yourself, and we'll start there.
